Automation of cervical cytology
We are currently in the early stages of a HEIF3 funded project with Kevin Hayes of St George’s Medical School University of London.
The project aims to use conventional techniques employed in visual neuroscience to develop a new method for detecting abnormal cervical smear samples. The aim of the project is to use simple, cost effective techniques to develop a system which can enhance the sensitivity of the cervical screening process.
