Creatine monohydrate

We are currently investigating the effect of creatine monohydrate on the fMRI BOLD response, cerebral metabolite concentrations and cognitive performance.  Our early data indicates that creatine reduces the BOLD response but increases performance in memory tasks.  We are currently measuring its effect on metabolite concentrations and a range of behavioural tasks in an effort to better characterise the compound’s effects and therapeutic potential.
